In 2018, Sunny only wanted to bring her high-school classmate to see her hometown.
There was no intention of “creating a program,” no structure, and no expectation.
It was meant to be a small trip—walking through ancient streets, meeting local people, and sharing pieces of everyday life in Shanxi.
What made this journey special was precisely its simplicity.

As the days unfolded, Sunny noticed how naturally her friend connected with local culture—curious, respectful, and genuinely touched by what she saw.
Sunny realized that multicultural exchange did not need to be complicated.
When people meet with kindness, openness, and no agenda, something peaceful happens. Differences soften, understanding grows, and both sides feel enriched.
This experience showed how travel can quietly open horizons and deepen wisdom—
for visitors and locals alike.

Although nothing “official” came out of the 2018 trip, it gave Sunny a strong and long-lasting belief:
that sincere, people-to-people communication creates peace, and that travel is one of the best tools to achieve it.

This small journey became the root of everything that followed—
the first spark that later shaped InHe China’s approach to cultural exchange:
slow, human, authentic, and built on genuine connection.
